My friend Ally, whom I met in college, came to visit me in Eugene. She moved back to DC in 2006, but we've managed stay close despite the distance. I miss her a lot, and I am sad she lives so far away. She currently lives in Belfast, Northern Ireland where she is working towards her PhD.It's easy to get to know new people, but it's hard to find true friends that outlast everything, a friend with whom you can share secrets, adventures and long silences.
